He had a marriage to Marilyn Ann Rosenberger from 1954 to 1959, which ended in divorce, and they had one daughter named Karen.

Reed graduated from Muskogee’s Central High School in 1950 and went on to study drama at Northwestern University. He honed his skills in theater, performing in Shakespearean plays and various productions. His television career began in the late 1950s, leading to a breakout role in “The Defenders,” which paved the way for his iconic portrayal of Mike Brady in “The Brady Bunch,” a show that gained popularity even after cancellation.

Death and Legacy

Robert Reed passed away on May 12, 1992, at the age of 59, due to complications from colon lymphoma and AIDS.
