Ron Haydock was born on April 17, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a creative individual with interests in comic books, monster movies, and music. He formed a rock band called “Ron Haydock & the Boppers” in 1958 and had valuable experiences in magazine publishing and writing throughout his youth. Ron was married to Jean from February 1960 until their divorce in 1964.
Career
Ron expanded his talents beyond music, becoming an actor and writer. He worked on various horror magazines and wrote adult novels under different pseudonyms. He gained cult fame for his role as Lonnie Ford, also known as Rat Pfink, in the film “Rat Pfink a Boo Boo.” Throughout his career, he was known for his diverse projects, ranging from rock music to low-budget films and horror literature.
Death and Legacy
Ron Haydock sadly passed away on August 13, 1977, when he was hit by a truck while hitch-hiking on a highway in Victorville, California. He was only 37 years old at the time of his death.
