Ronnie Claire Edwards was an American actress who is best known for The Waltons, The Dead Pool, and A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion.

Personal and Family Life

Born on February 9, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ronnie was the daughter of Warren Hamilton Edwards and Pauline Caroline Mills Edwards. She had a sister named Orma Lee Edwards. Throughout her career, she was married twice, first to Robert K. Sands and then to Bill Record, though both marriages ended in divorce. Edwards graduated from Classen High School in 1951 and later put out a memoir titled “The Knife Thrower’s Assistant,” detailing her unique career experiences.

Career

Edwards had a diverse acting career, which included stage and television performances. She was awarded the Drama Logue Award in 1979 for her outstanding performance in “The Vienna Notes.” In addition to her work in film and television, she gained recognition for her role as Corabeth Walton in the beloved series, The Waltons, where her character became a fan favorite.

Death and Legacy

Ronnie Claire Edwards passed away on June 14, 2016, in Dallas, Texas, due to natural causes. She had lived in a converted church that she restored herself after moving from Los Angeles. Edwards is remembered for her contributions to the arts and her memorable performances that left an impact on audiences.
