Rosella Townsend was born on January 20, 1918, in Youngstown, Ohio, as the second of three daughters to Frank and Viola Townsend. Her family moved to Los Angeles in the late 1920s, where Rosella began her journey into acting. She married screenwriter Harry Kronman in 1942 and had two children, Anthony and Michael, alongside her earlier marriage to James Lathrop.

Career

Rosella made her film debut at the age of 19 in 1937 and quickly gained recognition, appearing in several films with notable stars like Bette Davis and Ronald Reagan. However, her acting career slowed during World War II, leading her to leave the industry after marriage. Throughout her career, she had both minor and significant roles in various films in the late 1930s and early 1940s.

Death and Legacy

Rosella Towne passed away on August 29, 2014, in Hamden, Connecticut, where she had been residing in a nursing home.
