Ross Elliott was an American actor who is best known for his roles in “I Love Lucy,” “The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp,” and “The Twilight Zone.”

Born Elliott Morton Blum on June 18, 1917, in The Bronx, New York, Ross grew up in a lively environment. He pursued acting during his teenage years, participating in school plays and summer camps. He studied at the City College of New York, where he earned a degree in 1937. Elliott was married twice, first to Ellen Ann Schachner from 1943 to 1946 and then to Esther Susan Melling, who he married in 1954 and remained with until his death in 1999.

Ross Elliott started his acting career with the Mercury Theatre, led by Orson Welles, and was known for his role in the famous radio broadcast “War of the Worlds.” His acting career flourished for over four decades, featuring roles in numerous films and television shows.
