Roy Acuff

Roy Acuff was an American actor who is best known for Night Train to Memphis, Home in San Antone, and Smoky Mountain Melody. Born on September 15, 1903, in Maynardville, Tennessee, he gained fame as a leading figure in country music and appeared in various films throughout his career. He was married to Mildred Louise Douglas and passed away on November 23, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee.
