Roy Brocksmith

Roy Brocksmith was an American actor best known for his roles in “Total Recall,” “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” Born on September 15, 1945, in Quincy, Illinois, he had a successful career in theater and film until his passing in 2001.

Personal and Family Life

Roy Brocksmith began performing at a young age, appearing on local radio and television. He married Adele Albright on December 25, 1963, and they had one child together. He studied at several colleges, including Quincy University, where he graduated in 1970. Throughout his life, he directed community theater and founded the Great River Theater Workshop.

Career

Brocksmith’s career spanned theater, television, and film. He made his Broadway debut in “The Leaf People” and was involved in several landmark stage productions with notable directors. His work earned him acclaim, including a Kudos Award from Minneapolis critics. He also directed original plays and served as the Producing Director of the California Cottage Theater, which . showcased new works and attracted over 8,000 attendees during its operation.

Death and Legacy

Roy Brocksmith passed away on December 16, 2001, due to kidney failure caused by diabetes. His contributions to theater and film are remembered fondly by audiences and peers alike. He left a substantial impact on the performing arts community through his work and dedication to innovative theater.
