Born on October 24, 1936, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, Samuel William Hinzman, known as Bill, was married to Bonnie Hinzman. The couple had one child together. Hinzman had a reputation for being generous and kind, often remembered for his bravery on the set of Night of the Living Dead, where he saved a fellow actor from a fire.
Death and Legacy
S. William Hinzman passed away on February 5, 2012, in South Beaver Township, Pennsylvania, due to rectal cancer. He was cremated, and he often joked about wanting to come back as a zombie after his death. His role in the horror genre, particularly as a zombie, has made him a memorable figure in film history.
