Born Constance Vera Stevens on February 14, 1915, in Holloway, London, England, Sally was trained as a dancer by her ballerina mother. She began her performing career at the age of 10 and became a popular figure in the film industry during the 1930s and 1940s. Sally married Dominick Geoffrey Edward Browne, the 4th Baron Oranmore and Browne, on December 1, 1951, and they remained together until his death in 2002.
