Career
Sally Starr hosted a popular children’s cartoon show called Popeye Theatre on WFIL-TV in Philadelphia from the 1950s until 1971. Beyond television, she recorded a rock and roll album with Bill Haley’s Comets and authored her autobiography titled “Me, Thee & TV,” which remains available in paperback. Her final film performance was in The in Crowd in 1988.
