Soteron “Sam” Vlahos was an American actor, born on August 10, 1935, in San Diego, California. He is best known for his roles in “American History X,” “Christmas in the Clouds,” and “Powwow Highway.”
Personal and Family Life
Sam Vlahos was born to Theodore Vlahos, who came from Kakouri, Greece, and Juanita Romero from Baja, Mexico. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the 1950s, after which he began his career in acting. Vlahos had a passion for theater, embracing the challenges it brought, especially the direct interaction with audiences.
Death and Legacy
In 2009, Sam was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a serious lung condition, and he passed away on September 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Jill, his two sons, Mark and Chris, from a previous marriage, and his three grandsons, Joe, Jimmy, and Danny. His family recalls the love and joy he brought into their lives.
