He was married three times, with his last wife being Maureen Lee Botello, whom he married on May 23, 1988, and remained with until his passing. Previously, he was married to Maureen May Endicott and Gloria Talbott, both of which ended in divorce.
Career
After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Sandy developed a horse act and eventually ventured into Hollywood after encountering a film crew. He quickly found work as Gene Autry’s stunt double and became well-known for his stunt work and acting over a career that lasted four decades. In addition to acting, he trained horses and taught riding.
