Shirl Conway was married four times, including to Gordon Pendleton Larson until his death in 1988. She also had brief marriages to Bernie Wayne, Bill Johnson, and Edward Haller Replogle. Conway began her career as a model at the John Robert Powers Agency and gained popularity as a nightclub singer before transitioning to acting.

Shirl Conway passed away on May 7, 2007, in Shelton, Washington, at the age of 90.
