She was first married to Gerard Dynevor from 1954 until his passing in 1966, with whom she had two children, including her granddaughter, actress Phoebe Dynevor. Later, she married Simon White in 1989, and they remained together until her death.

Career

In the 1950s, Dynevor was a member of Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop in London. She began her acting career with various television roles, including her notable performances in shows like Family Solicitor and The Liars. Shirley also worked as an usherette at the Curzon cinema, which was one of her early jobs in London.
