Shobhna Samarth

Shobhna Samarth was an American actress who is best known for her roles in “Do Diwane,” “Be Kharab Jan,” and “Naukar.” Born on November 17, 1916, in Bombay, she made a significant impact in the film industry until her passing on February 9, 2000.

Personal and Family Life

Shobhna Samarth was the daughter of Rattan Bai and was married to Kumarsen Samarth. Together, they had four children: Nutan, Tanuja, Chatura, and Jaideep. She experienced a long estrangement from her daughter Nutan, but they reconciled in 1983, shortly before Nutan’s death in 1991.

Death and Legacy

Shobhna passed away from cancer in Pune, India, in 2000. At the time of her death, she had a large family, including seven granddaughters, one grandson, three great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. Her influence continues through her descendants, including notable actresses like Kajol and Tanishaa Mukerji.
