Sid McCoy

Sid McCoy was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Sliver, The Bill Cosby Show, and O’Hara, U.S. Treasury.

Sid McCoy was born on October 24, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a jazz DJ and record producer in Chicago during the 1950s and 1960s. He was also the father of director Terri McCoy, known for her work on In Living Color.

Sid McCoy passed away on November 5, 2009, in Los Angeles, California. He was a longtime announcer for the popular TV show “Soul Train,” leaving a mark on the entertainment industry both as an actor and an announcer.
