Signe Hasso, born Signe Eleonora Cecilia Larsson, was born on August 15, 1915, in Stockholm, Sweden. She was married to Harry Hasso from November 12, 1933, until their divorce in 1941. The couple had one child, Henry Hasso.

Career

Hasso began her acting career as a child extra at The Royal Dramatic Theater, where she was the youngest student to enroll in acting studies. She achieved early success, securing leading roles in films and earning praise from critics. In 1940, she moved to Hollywood and signed with RKO, but later pursued opportunities in New York theater and worked with MGM, appearing in a series of films, particularly enjoying stage performances in London and New York.

Death and Legacy

Signe Hasso passed away on June 7, 2002, in Los Angeles, California, due to pneumonia. She is remembered for her striking performances and unique talent that made a lasting impact on both film and theater.
