Sol graduated from Dan O’Herlihy’s Hollywood School of Drama in 1958 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He also had a notable career in politics, serving as chief of staff for U.S. Congressman Kika de la Garza from 1973 to 1993.
