Adams served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a staff sergeant.

He is particularly remembered for portraying Rusty Trawler in the classic film Breakfast at Tiffany’s and for his appearances in various iconic TV shows like The Twilight Zone and The Odd Couple.
