Stefan Iliev

Stefan Metodiev Iliev was a Bulgarian actor best known for his roles in “Undercover”, “Operation Delta Force 4: Deep Fault”, and “Zdravey, babo”. He was born on June 25, 1935, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Personal and Family Life

Stefan Iliev graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1958, where he studied acting under Professor Nikolay Masalitinov. He had a long and fruitful career, working in several drama theaters across Bulgaria, including those in Gabrovo, Pleven, and Pernik. Known affectionately as “Checho” by his friends and colleagues, he was a respected figure in the acting community.

Stefan Iliev played over 70 roles in both theater and film throughout his career. He also served as the President of the Union of Actors in Bulgaria from 1990 to 2005, where he was admired for his integrity and dedication to actors’ rights.
