Stephen ‘Cajun’ Del Bagno was an American actor who is best known for his role in Captain Marvel (2019). He was also a Major in the United States Air Force and a member of the Thunderbirds, the Air Force’s aerial demonstration team.

Born on April 30, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, Stephen Del Bagno had a passion for aviation from a young age. He earned a Master’s degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Worldwide/Online Campus shortly before his untimely death.
Career
Del Bagno joined the U.S. Air Force and became an F-35A evaluator pilot. He was selected for the Thunderbirds in June 2017 and served as Thunderbird Four. His expertise in flying and commitment to the Air Force were evident during his short but impactful career.
Death and Legacy
Stephen Del Bagno passed away on April 4, 2018, in an airplane crash during a training mission at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. His death occurred just a week after he advised the cast of Captain Marvel. In tribute to him, the hair and makeup team of the film created a small mural in their trailer to honor his memory.
