Stephen Lee was born on November 11, 1955, in Englewood, New Jersey. He spent the first 15 years of his life in Europe, where his family had a background in the casino industry, with his father involved in making slot machines. Lee later moved back to the U.S., attended Hickman High School, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lee began his acting career after returning to the U.S. in 1970 and appeared in over 200 TV shows and movies. He was proficient in English, German, French, and Spanish and had a passion for activities like golf, tennis, and horseback riding. Notable guest appearances include roles in “NCIS,” “Boston Legal,” and “Bones,” earning him critical acclaim as an actor.
