Stuart Margolin

Stuart Margolin was an American actor best known for his role as “Angel” Martin in The Rockford Files, as well as for his appearances in various films and television series. He had a successful career spanning over 50 years and won two Emmy Awards for his acting.

Born on January 31, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, Stuart Margolin was raised in a Jewish family. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1958 and went on to marry three times, with his final marriage to Patricia Ann Dunne lasting from 1982 until his passing in 2022. He had three children: Max, Christopher, and Michelle Martini.

Career

Stuart Margolin began his acting journey in 1961 with The Gertrude Berg Show and later became a series regular on Ensign O’Toole. Throughout his career, he acted in numerous films and television shows, standing out in projects alongside James Garner. He also directed various episodes of popular shows, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
