Kwan Tak-Hing began his entertainment career at the age of 13 when he joined a touring troupe in Singapore. He later moved to film, with his debut in 1932 in the movie “Gor Nui Ching Chiu.” Kwan’s life was intertwined with his dedication to martial arts and film production, showcasing his talents as both an actor and martial arts expert.

Career Highlights

Kwan’s first leading role came in 1935, and he went on to star in a trilogy about Wong Fei-Hung in 1947. Collaborating frequently with director Wu Peng, they created nearly 80 films together. Kwan Tak-Hing passed away on June 28, 1996, in Hong Kong due to pancreatic cancer.
