Tereza Raquel, whose birth name was Teresinha Malka Brandwain Taiba de La Sierra, was a prominent figure in Brazilian theatre and was previously married to director Ipojuca Pontes. She was fond of animals, owning two dogs and a parrot that could mimic the laughter of her character Queen Valentine from “Que Rei Sou Eu?”. In honor of her legacy, a large theatre in Rio de Janeiro bears her name.
