He later studied at prestigious institutions such as the Hochschule für Musik Bern and the Juilliard School in New York. As a concertmaster, he held positions in Koblenz, Lausanne, and Basel before leading the Camerata Bern from 1979 to 1993, contributing significantly to classical music recordings. He founded the Aria Quartet in 1994 and taught at renowned institutions, including Zurich University of the Arts and the Konservatorium Winterthur.
