Tige Andrews was born Tiger David Andrews and grew up in a large family in Middlesex, New Jersey. He had six children, including three sons and three daughters: Barbara, Gina, Julie, John, Steve, and Tony. Tige was married to Norma Thornton from 1950 until her death in 1996 and previously married to Josephine Bernice Phillips from 1944 to 1946.
