Verna Hillie was born to Catherine Rasinen and Edward Werner Hillie. She was married twice; first to Frank Gill Jr. from 1933 until their divorce in 1952, with whom she had two daughters named Kathreen “Kelly” Gill and Pamela Lincoln. Later, she married Dick Linkroum in 1952 but divorced him in 1962.

Career

Verna started her acting career in the early 1930s and appeared in several films. During her career, she was a runner-up for the “Panther Woman” role in Paramount’s Island of Lost Souls but was still signed by the studio. Although her career faced interruptions due to health issues, she attended the 1985 Memphis Film Festival, showcasing her enduring connection to her acting roots.
