Vida Alves was born on April 15, 1928, in Itanhandu, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She was married to Gianni Gasparinetti from December 31, 1949, until his death in 1978, and they had two children together. Vida was the daughter of Heitor Alves and Amélia Scarpa Guedes and had several siblings including Helle, Homem, Poema, and Ritmo. Notably, she is remembered for giving the first kiss on Brazilian television, alongside actor Walter Forster, in the soap opera “Sua Vida me pertence” in 1951.
