Vincent Dowling

Vincent Dowling was an American actor and director, best known for his roles in On Broadway, Playboy of the Western World, and Johnny Nobody. He was born on September 7, 1929 in the Irish Free State, which is now known as Ireland, and passed away on May 10, 2013 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Personal and Family Life

Vincent Dowling was married twice. His first marriage was to Brenda Doyle from 1952 until their divorce in 1974, and together they had five children. He later married Olwen Patricia O’Herlihy in 1974, and they remained together until his death. Dowling was the biological father of Irish politician Richard Boyd Barrett and met his birth mother, Sinéad Cusack, later in life.

Vincent Dowling died on May 10, 2013, due to complications from surgery in Boston, Massachusetts.
