Ford’s acting career began in vaudeville, and he eventually found success on Broadway, performing in plays like “Abie’s Irish Rose.” He appeared in more than 200 films, with significant roles in classics such as “Possessed” and “The Beast of the City.” His notable television appearances include the series “The Deputy,” alongside Henry Fonda, from 1959 to 1960.
