Walter Bluhm was a German-American actor who is best known for his roles in Der Mantel (1961), John Gabriel Borkman (1967), and Lord Arthur Saviles Verbrechen (1967).

Walter Bluhm was born on August 5, 1907, in Berlin, Germany. He served as a soldier during World War II, which interrupted his acting career. After the war, he returned to acting both on stage and in films. He was married to Charlotte Hepprich from March 31, 1937, until his death on December 2, 1976.

Initially trained as a bookseller, Bluhm changed his path and became an actor. He joined the Max Reinhardt Seminar in 1924 and made his stage debut shortly after with the play “Der Kaufmann von Venedig.” In the 1950s, after a break from film, he found new success in supporting roles in various movies.
