Wayman was the son of Rev. Louis Tisdale, a respected pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his father’s legacy continues to be honored.

He played as a forward for the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and Phoenix Suns throughout his NBA career from 1985 to 1997.
