Wendell Corey

Wendell Corey was the son of Milton R. Corey Sr. and Julia N. Wiley. He married Alice Nevin Wiley on November 19, 1939, and they had four children together, including Jonathan and Robin Corey. His career was challenged by struggles with alcohol, which adversely affected his job opportunities.

Corey began his acting journey in summer stock and joined the Federal Theater Project during the Great Depression. He made his Broadway debut in 1942 and gained prominence for his performance in “Dream Girl.” After being signed by producer Hal B.
