Personal and Family Life
Will Fyffe was born on February 16, 1885, in Dundee, Scotland, to a family with a ship’s carpenter father and a music teacher mother. He married Lily Ann Bolton Wilcock in 1905, and they had two children before her death in 1921. Later, he married Emmeline Eugenie Pooley in 1922, with whom he also had two children.
Death and Legacy
Fyffe tragically died on December 14, 1947, after falling from a hotel window in St. Andrews, Scotland, while recovering from surgery. At the time of his death, he was highly regarded for his contributions to the entertainment industry and was awarded the CBE for his work during the war.
