Personal and Family Life

Willie Mays was born on May 6, 1931, in Westfield, Alabama. He was married twice; first to Scarlett Marghuereta Wendelle from 1956 until their divorce in 1962, and then to Mae Louise Allen, who he married in 1971 and remained with until her death in 2013. Mays had one son, Michael Rosiny Mays, and was very close to his family throughout his life.

Willie Mays passed away on June 18, 2024, in Palo Alto, California. He left behind a legacy as one of the greatest baseball players of all time, widely respected for his achievements on and off the field.
